Matters needing attention when using KCB 18.3 gear pump:

1. Installation of gear oil pump:

A. Before installation, check whether the pump is damaged in transportation, such as whether the motor is damp, whether the dust cover at the pump inlet and outlet is damaged and whether dirt enters the pump chamber.

B. Clean the inner wall of the pipe with clean water or steam before installing the pipe.Installation should avoid the weight of the pipe to be borne by the pump, so as not to affect the accuracy and life of the pump.

C. The gear oil pump should be as close to the oil pool as possible;No leakage of air or liquid is allowed in the connection parts of the pipeline, or the phenomenon of not absorbing liquid will occur.

D. In order to prevent dirt such as particle and miscellaneous shield from entering the pump, a metal filter screen should be installed at the suction inlet with a filtration accuracy of 30 mesh /in, and the filtration area should be more than three times larger than the cross-sectional area of the oil inlet pipe.

E. It is recommended to install vacuum gauge and pressure gauge for inlet and outlet pipeline to monitor the working status of the pump.

F. When the oil pool is deep, the suction pipe is long or the medium viscosity is high and the vacuum degree is too high, the inlet pipe can be thickened.When the suction pipe is longer, the bottom valve should be installed.

2. Inspection of gear oil pump before operation:

A. Whether the fasteners of the pump are firm or not.

B. Whether the rotation of the driving shaft is uniform in weight.

C. Whether the valve in and out of the line is open.

D. Whether the rotation direction of the pump meets the requirements.

E. Proper amount of medium should be injected into the pump before the first use.

3. Maintenance of gear oil pump during operation:

A. Note that the readings of the pressure gauge and vacuum gauge of the gear oil pump shall be within the specified technical specifications of the pump.

B. When the gear oil pump has abnormal noise or excessive temperature rise during operation, the pump should be stopped immediately for inspection.

C. In general, the safety valve should not be adjusted arbitrarily. If adjustment is needed, the safety valve should be calibrated with an instrument.Make the cut-off pressure of the relief valve a pump

D. 1.5-2 times rated pressure.

4. Stop the pump

A. turn off the power.

B. Close inlet and outlet valves.
